Hi i had to do an estimate on a yard today. They had a perimeter fence that was basically a half acre perimeter. And the fence was covered with grass about 3 feet high and the "bed" of grass was about the same width all the way around. She wanted to clean the whole perimeter out and install mulch but not to hurt the plants she has in there. The plants she has in there are obvious (big grasses, rose bush, crap murtles). I was wondering how i would go about the job. My idea was to use a string trimmer to knock them down to the ground (the grasses), then use a rotatiller on it. Then spray some round up, then install screening and mulch. If anyone has an easier or more proficient way let me know plz. I also gave here an estimate for 2000.00 to do it all and make three more round beds around three trees she had. She sounded surprised bc she just had an estimate that was apparently too high for her and she said 2000.00 sounded fine she just wanted to talk to her husband. Which from my less than one year experience ( pffft ) means this is my exit from the business prop. But thanx for all and any advice guys.

Spray ,, let kill,, than come back and turn. Im not a big fan of weed barrier but if they insist go for it.
