Edging

Some input please. On propeties that need to be edged, is this something you do with the regular mow price or do you charge an extra fee?

My service has it included with mowing, customers usually pay more for a package that include stuff like this, if you already have customers they may not pay more for you to keep the edge maintained, you can usually use a trimmer to keep it maintained and just bust out stick edger etc.. every once in a while.

Always edge. It may cost you a little more to edge each time. But this is why they have a Lawn Service. Customers love the perfect edge. I spend 5-10 min on each yard edging, but it keeps them happy.

I use an edger 1x at the beginning of each year to make/define the edges. After that its the string trimmer only.

I always edge. I find that a stick edger is much faster than a string trimmer and makes a nicer edge. Doing it every time is what sets us apart from the average lawn person.

There should be no doubt stick edging is the only way to go!!!!!! It's what sets your customer apart from the rest of the neighbor hood, and the reason they hired a pro!!!! And not a scab!!!!! Who cant afford an edger!!!!!
