Tampa trouble, read this.

i dont know if this will work or not, but i will give it a shot. first if your not from the tampa florida area, you might as well stop reading because im pretty much going to waste your time for the next few minutes
im looking for two people to hire. i live in northern pinellas county near tampa florida (east lake) anyone who bothered to keep reading this probably knows where that is. anyway if anyone who reads this is from that area and knows two people with licences (or one if they ride together) that want to work, private message me and i will call them.
one of my (former)best guys is pulling some crap behind my back and i found out is going to quit without telling me and he put bids in on some of my houses. (he bid a house where he didnt know that the owner is a good friend of mine) no time for his b.s. games, i have to watch out for #1 here.
i helped this guy get residency, i helped him out with extra money, i paid him for 40 hours whether he worked it or not in the winter and now this. i even helped him with doctor bills when his kids were sick.

maybe someone knows a couple people in this area that are looking for jobs, or maybe someone is downsizing and has to let someone go.

im in winter haven and working by my self i had simlilar problems.....ill tell ya ive bought new super z and make all the money it was hard at first but i do 45 accounts by myself and it works......good luck just my opinion

Potential Customers often ask who I use on my crews, I proudly tell them that I will be there with my crew. No offense to those who use Hispanic help, I am quite aware of the quality of labor they can provide. I would hire Hispanic help if they were completely LEGAL not just traveling laborers.

I have just left the "useless-white guys" company and am now working with an all hispanic work force. What a difference. If they have the problems other workforces have: drugs, alcohol, criminal background, surf's up, partying all night, etc., etc., they hide it very well. Usually have full attendance on monday, and have people begging to work on Saturday, Sunday, and late during the week.

They have the American work ethic, something which is missing from the non-hispanic work force. Hint: It will take some work, but there are many groups of workers who are here legally, there were work visas granted from numerous central American countries as assistance after hurricanes in recent years.

Maybe if you had basic requirements, such as an education minimum, no drug use, etc., you wouldn't have had problems. Then again, they say if you can't find good help, you had better take a good look at the person HIRING that help.

Paying a DECENT and FAIR wage is what gets you good employees. This is why you can get decent Hispanic help for a lower wage than getting decent American help. The Hispanics see your scrub-level minimum wage as big money, while your American worker thinks you are cheap, and wants to be paid enough to actually live on.

If you are a tightwad, running a scrub outfit, and feel the need to gouge your employees and not pay them a fair wage, then the Hispanic workforce is for you, at least for the time being. The day will come when you will have to pay them a fair wage as well, and you will have to look to another nation of underprivileged people to use as your indentured servants.

Crew members start @ $8.00. Health benefits, holidays, vacation, 401K, cell phones for foremen, paid uniforms. The highes paid are making $15. Is this paying under the market? My scrub Hispanic supervisor is making 42K. Is this sub market wages?

i have to say, that in this area, your not going to find a white guy to work as hard as a mexican, all the white guys that have any motivation start a company, all the other white guys dont want to work for $8 an hour.
you know when you break it down, a person doing basic labor (edging, trimming, blowing) whatever race they may be should not be making much more than $8 an hour,
my guys start at $7 and the good guys that i can leave alone without babysittig get paid $11.
these guys are not doctors, its an entry level labor job.
the mexicans i hire do a good job, quality is not an issue. i do all the hedging and tree work so the quality is up there.
in my OPINION which i am entitled to have, just like everyone else is, you cant find a white worker to keep up with a mexican worker, we should have a edging and trimming competition with gold medals and things to see which country has fasted workers.

My whole point is this..... It has NOTHING to do with the color of a mans skin! It has NOTHING to do with what country a man was born in! It DOES have to do with how that man WAS BROUGHT UP! So don't try and sell me that "all Mexicans are great workers", or "all white men are dumb and lazy" line of shi!t. I'm not buying it any more than any other stupid "blanket" statement, like "all Mexicans will eventually screw you", or "all white men are geniuses". Those are ALL stereotypical statements, and as such, they all suck.

Judge a man on HIS OWN merits and HIS OWN actions.

If a man does one hell of a job for you, then he deserves to be compensated well. If he does a horrible job for you, then he deserves to be let go. Skin color and nationality have nothing to do with it. If you think that it does, then you are stupid.

Woody, you sound raciest to me....I hire both white and hispanic, I pay them equal. The hispanics ask to work longer hrs and never complain...the white guys won't work weekends....the hispanics would work seven days a week if i would let them. the quality of work is almost equal because i trained all my employees to do it my way....I have to say the hispanics will pick up every little peice of debris as the white guy walks past it. My foreman is hispanic, and I never have any problems out of him. My white guys from the past have all been firemen like myself, but they are lazy when it comes to certain things. I always schedule extra work for the hispanics...because they dont complain...sometimes if the job pays really well I give the crew a bonus....haven't had a white guy bonus yet. Why do you think that is? Woody would you hire a Hispanic? or a Black guy? Send them to me....I know the quality of work they produce.

Like I tell my workers when they hire on: I don't care what your skin color is; I don't care what your naltionality is; I don't care what your religion is; I don't care what gender you are; and I don't care who or what your sexual orientation is; and I don't care about what your politics are.

What I care about is that you give me an honest days labor for your wages; I care about how you service my customers; I care about your quality of work; and when everything is said and done, more is to be done than said.

Every group of people has lazy SOBs and energetic, disciplined, and motivated people who make the greatest employee. My role is to be cheer leader; resource person; and to make sure they do their job well. In the end, the famous Buck stops with me. The employee will make or break my business, and it all rides on me as to how I interface and handle customer complaints.

In the end, if the quality of employee you seek has a disciplined work ethic, all of the color, religion, politics, sexual bent, etc is a whole lot of nothing. Besides, discrimination in any shape or form is unlawful and unethical.

Obviously Phillip, you hire based only on a person's skin color, which is actually against federal law. You also sling around blanket statements based on a person's race, which shows that you, in fact, are a racist.

Please point out, anywhere in my posts, where I said NOT to hire a black guy or a hispanic guy, Phillip. You obviously didn't READ what I posted, because if you did, you would know that I would gladly hire ANYONE, based upon the person, not upon the color of their skin.
