i mow some houses that have cable lines running into thier house, they are burried underground but then come out wehn it reaches the side of the house, grass grows inbetween the cables and the side of the house, so i can never trim all of it, and the cable normally gets wrapped around my trimmers head, i dont want to break anything but i also dont want to leave uncut grass, how to i solve this problem?

kill the grass. Do not kill a big area. We kill about an inch around the line, and betwen the line and the house. a small amout killed will not be noticed.

Yes agree with clclawn. Just kill grass in between the cable and structure

Reach down and pull the grass tops off by hand.

Same here. Pull off tops of grass unless customer wants it sprayed.

I would leave a note on the customer's door explaining the situation and that if you don't hear otherwise you will be spraying the grass next week. If the customer objects then just tell him that you prefer not to trim around that area in fear of damaging something....and costing yourself lots of money for the repair. Surely he will understand that logic. Tom
