You maintain a softball field. The only lime you see is when they let you remark the base lines. As far as sqft/hr,, i doubt you have over an hour worth of contract.

Did anyone actually read what I posted from the get go????

How did this become a "Mine is Bigger" contest??? Where? Not by me.

I am NOT making fun of anyone, not bragging, not saying which company is best. Go back and re-read what I posted. No, I'm not mad either.

ALL I am saying is that when it comes to apps, more is not always better. Big companies are beginning to "invent" treatments that "must be put down or the lawn will look worse than the neighbors".

Now if that hurts the feelings of grown men, I pitty them.

Be honest with your self if not with us. You have had a running battle trying to prove SodBuster is full of stuff. Maybe you didn't say as much in this thread but you certainly Implied it. Now I am unable to pound the person I think is full of the same stuff because he has a certain immunity. But we read each others posts and therefore know each other better than you think we do. Now I sometimes think SodBuster is bragging a little too much also. But this doesn't bother me as much as the Idiots that give the wrong information under the pretend of being Experts. I try and stay away from cool season questions because I really don't know Cool season.

Now the battle of Granules vs Spray will continue to be fought for a long time. However IMHO slow release granules in general give a better long term response. However Spray has the advantage of quick knock down and fast response. The Big Boys will stay with Spray as much as possible because of a few factors. First not every one has the equipment to spray so they sell the idea that it is better. Second Sprays generally don't last as long so if the customer skips treatment their lawn shows the effects quickly. Third They can spray cheaper than granules. By mixing a ****tail they can apply more than one product and take care of several application at once. True combined products can be spread faster than spray. However granule combo come only with one pesticide attached. Spray tanks can mix Fungicides Insecticides and herbicides as well as fertilizer all in one shot. Is this the best?? No. Is it economical?? Yes. Does it effect the bottom line?? Sure.

I was attacked for no reason. People see it for what it is.... a cheap shot.

I run 2 Isuzu cab over application trucks, duking it out in the land of the giants and my real focus is not even apps.

Every trip over the lawn by the tech is important.

          No one was attacked!!!

Am I not allowed to say that I think ANY company putting down more than 5 treatments is a waste? I don't give a **** who started this post.

My God, go back and read what I said for crying out loud. What did I imply? The only thing I implied was that more than 5 is a wasted luxury and an environmental burden. I think Mits is better than Isuzu, but if I say that, will I get reamed because I am making fun of Sodbusters because he has Isuzu?

Sodbuster, if you feel you were "attacked" by me in this thread, that's just sad. If anything, you made worse comments towards me. Typical.

Ric, as for me trying to prove Sod is full of it. That was easy. But has nothing to do with this thread. And by the way, it was Sod that started all of that way back when.

This entire discussion is irrelevant as a total prohibition of chemical pesticide use in lawn, garden and greenspace maintenance will soon be law in all of North America.

If anyone in this general area of "expertise" had any foresight they would be concentrating all their production and advertising efforts into organic methods or perhaps learning the intricacies of irrigation installation and the effects proper watering and mowing can reap.
