Fertilizer and Weed Control Applications

Does anyone know if you need some sort of license to apply fertilizers( by spreader) and weed controls(spreader and sprayer) in New York State? If you do, where do get information on obtaining a license? Thanks and Happy New Year everyone!

http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/d...d/pesticid.htm.... Weed control, yes. Fertilizer, no. Thirty hour training course required. After course, test given to give you technician status. One to two year period before you can sit for the state exam.
