No...not to early. Trugreen/ChemLawn, Sodbuster, Valley Crest, Brickman...are all out there making apps now. Preemerge is a split application for round 1 & 2.

I wish that I could get started here, it has been in the upper 40's, which is very odd. Normally this time of year we are lucky to see 20 degrees, and I am bored out of my mind.

Man, that's gotta be rough, sitting on the sidelines waiting for game day. Just get everything organized and work on things you don't have time for during the season.

When I lived in the north country I did a lot of ice fishing, helps pass the winter months.

It's nice being in the money round all twelve months a year. Started round No. 1 on Jan 4th and have about 100 apps. to go before starting round No. 2. Looks like we will start Round No. 2 next week.

You gotta love Atlanta. When Chem-Lawn got rolling, they made a bee-line to Hotlanta (norcross) and set up shop big time. Lawn care heaven, baby.

What a waste of the customers money..............

We need to educate the customer more to avoid such "rip-offs".

i love how everyone from the northern states hammers people in the south for putting on their first app this time of year. how do u know when is the right time for them to put down their apps? and doesnt everyone try to upsell to their customers? is that all ripoffs as well? dont get me wrong, i think a lot of companies do rip people off with fertilizer apps to mowing to much, but not everyone does.

If you're from north of Dallas, its a whole different world. Mega lawn Co here was out on Jan 4th and hammering my customers on jan 3rd. I only lost one to them. Shes some psycho that my buddy (stuck at Mega Co) begs me to steal back. They started round 2 this week. I will start round 2 on Feb 28th. woo hoo

Needing to do some over seeding and I was in need of help from the pros!

I am going to do some over seeding tomorrow and I was wondering in what order I need to do this all in I know I must mow the lawn first but I have been told two different ways. Do I fertilizer and then the seeding or do I seed then the fertilizer?
And also can I seed and fertilize as soon as I am done mowing, because it is going to rain in two days from today, and the rain is going to last for three days.
