IN. and want to get licencing

Is anyone out thier in IN and know what I need to do to get my chem. licencing? I live in IN and work in MI, maint. here (MI) told me all I have to do is study and take a test. My understanding in IN you have to have so many years exp. before you can take a test to getting your lic. Any help with this would be helpful.
