GM, I am sorry. The photographic memory curse has been seen for what it is! If I see a post on something I have read somewhere I am hooked like a hungry bass after crawdads. Easy trolling material...

BTW, I do not grow nor consume these types of herbs. I too am a bit apprehensive of their effects.

      Sorry sir.

Back on... The roots of the sedge that I pulled up had larger ends to it. I don't know if it was because they were young plants or not, but it looked like there were only a few to each plant and most came up with them. I realize some stayed in the ground. They looked more like a spear tip and maybe twice as wide as the root prior to it. Are these the nutlets? In all my searches I haven't seen an actual picture of the " nutlets". I pictured them to be like small bulbs of this plant.

Sedge is a water loving plant but will survive in very dry conditions. The long chains of Nutlets are connected by very fine roots and will break off when the plant is pulled from the ground. The Nutlets themselves are rather small.
