What is the best ride on sprayer/ spreader for the money? Any complete lawn spraying jobs, I have another certified contractor spray for us. I do handle any spot control & all granular work. Yes, I'm certified. Starting to get to the point where I would like to keep all the lawn spraying in house also. Any help would be appreciated, I am also doing some research myself on them, just want to hear from people using them.

Your best bet is to make one from an old beater Toro walk-behind.
In fact I have a surplus machine that I would sell at this time. It needs an engine and transmission but the price would be right.
All you need is a cheap 8-10hp engine with an alternator (about $300) since the mowing deck is not in the picture.
If you click on the 4 Mower button up top on the right you can buy the electric sprayer and spreader from them.
When you are all done you with have one for less than 1/3 the cost for a perma green and they are no way as durable as a Stone-a-green.
Plus if you put a big enough engine on the machine you could still use it as a back up lawn mower in a pinch.
Most likely you already have a stand on sulky so you would just have to buy another mounting bracket.
Plus I have one of these push jobs that is surplus to my needs.
Come to my garage sale for I need cash for a cruise vacation.

Do not buy the Permagreen spreader/sprayer. It is an overpriced piece of junk. I had one and took advatage of their buy back program. Thankfully they had that as an option. I would take Stones suggestion and build one from an older walk behind.

I agree with Mariner and I still have one because I didn't know about their buyback program; or maybe I didn't pay close attention to it.
I have very low hours on mine and the steering rod needs replaced. I'll make you an offer you can't refuse if your interested in saving a few thousand bucks from buying a new one.
Otherwise, go to NorthernTool.com and purchase their 200 gallon tank w/ 5.5 hp Honda engine w/ 300' hose reel. Its "more better".

I used to have one of those and I liked it. But I didn't like it for my 2 acre places! However, no gas, only elbow grease!

We have a Z Max Ride on sprayer spreader, it is an awsome unit which saves a ton of time. It runs about $8,000. I have used the permagreen spreader before, we used to call it the suicide spreader because the brakes always went out on it.“veni, vidi, vici.â€

Yo
The Ric A Green is basically the same set up as Professor Stone's Stone A Green, but on a Walker ZTR without the deck. The only disadvantage in the Ric or Stone A Green to the Perm A Green is the floor space and weight in Hauling them. The Perm A Green can be Hauled on a Reese hitch Platform on the back of a truck.
There are however many advantages over Perm A Green even if you don't count the rip off price or poor construction of the Perm A Green. I am Sure the Stone A Green does Everything the Ric A Green does and maybe more, but will only talk about the Ric A Green. First I like the Electric Broad cast Motor and its continuous turning whether in forward motion or not. I believe we get a much better distribution of product at both the beginning and end of each Pass. With the installation of a rheostat the speed of the broadcast wheel can be adjusted to fit a narrow area with out over application. Next I like the fact I can actually do Shrub Beds with it. I only need to drive straight on to the edge of the bed and then open the gate to throw Product into the ornamental bed. By backing up and moving a few more feet I can keep doing it all day long and never get Off My lazy Butt. I have always been a Walker Mower fan and I believe this application of the Walker and the ability to drive it one handed is perfect, because the Fert & Squirt can be controlled with the other hand. As far as the Boom spraying with the Ric A Green, I have installed a remote Solenoid very near the Boom and and no drip check valve on each Nozzle. This allows me positive shut off with NO drip. BTW I used and ATV Boom Spray set up from Tractor Supply as my boom parts and have the advantage of swing away booms on both sides. Each Side may be shut off independent of the other. I can in fact spray a 42" width or a 72' Width.
