  • Looking for information on Fertilizers

    Hey All,

I bit the bullet this year, and after being in business nearly 7 years decided to apply for the applicators license. All years previous to this year I've helped customers find reliable companies that only ofter fertilizer so that I don't loose my service contracts for the year. I've already sent in my commercial applicators license, and I'm wondering if you have any recommendations for good books, or websites that would help guide me on what to apply, and when. I usually just do the five step program on my yard here at home. I'm planning on offering this service to all of my customers and as it stands this year looks like there are going to be about 35 or so. Any advice or PM's would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

You'll find your county extension service a very good place to start. They are familiar with the grasses and soils in your area. After that, seek out several suppliers of fertilizer for recommendations and pricing.

Ok great thanks, I just realized I probably should have posted this in the Fertilizers and Pesticide Section of the website. So if grass master, or another moderator want to movie this topic that's ok. Thanks again
