Needing a small backpack sprayer for personal home use. (herbicides, pesticides, and some ferts) I was figuring on purchasing a Shindaiwa as I will be @ my Shin dealer tomorrow. Before spending $100 bucks on a sprayer because it wears a Shin badge I want to know if I am pi$$ing away $$ on a name? I love my Shin stuff but that's all power equipment. I will only be using this sprayer for home use, Round-Up fencelines and squirting the garden occasionally. I want something that will last and deteriorate as the last 2 from Sears have over the years.

THX Scott. Figured price was right but I am known to buy stuff for the name and not necessity.
Thanks for advice too. Just had not thought that far ahead.
BTW, I never have sprayed pesticides, I use granular. Any reason to switch to liquid for simple back yard flea/tick control? This would be the only pesticide use the sprayer would see.

I'd just go for it. They come with a one year commercial use warranty and you have a dealer nearby. 100 some bucks shouldn't hurt you even if it turns out to be trash. I'd believe whom ever said those nasty words abused their equipment. Just take care of the unit and always throughly wash it out after each use.

Thought this would interest ya' MM. I learned today that Shindaiwa and Solo sprayers are 1 and the same. Dealer tells me Solo bought Shin or Shin bought Solo and still manufacture both under respective names. Designs differ slightly.

I know I'm late to the table, but get 2 2gal sprayers. For what you want these should be fine and cheaper. Shin has nice 2 gals for about $20-25.

Homer: It's called a "lawnmower". I invented it. Want one?
