I have a customer that has a peach and pecan orchard in their back yard. About 20 trees of each type. They also have two figs and two tangelo trees in there. Each year they sell the crops on a u-pick basis. About four feet from the first row of trees their lawn, that I mow, begins. They have two questions: 1) what pre and post emergent would be safe for the orchard and 2) what kind of "weed and feed" would be safe in their lawn. Some other details: their entire yard is irrigated every 12-14 days (I don't mean sprinklers, I mean flood), the lawn is mostly common bermuda with some small stands of clover and dichondra. There are several weeds in the lawn: dandylions, spurge, (above mentioned clover and dichondra), crabgrass and some others as well. The orchard has the same weeds.
Their method for keeping the orchard weed free now is to hire some laborers and give them shovels and rakes. They currently use nothing in the lawn, thus the weeds.
Thanks in advance for any info.
