moss roses

Hey all,
About 2 weeks ago I spread weed and feed in my own front yard. All of a sudden I have moss roses coming up everywhere! Does anyone know the best way to rid me of this problem? I think it is a strange coincidence that they pop up at this time considering I didn't put any weed and feed in the backyard and There is no sign of them there! Thanks for any advice.

My moss problem was treated this year with many applications, about five, of lime. I used both pulverized and pelletized lime. The results were acceptable. I'm planning on hitting the "problem" areas again in about two weeks.

Have you had any anywhere before. Potted or otherwise. I have some in planters by my drive and they sprout up around the planter from dropping seed. Also if you have spread any soil from a planter that had them in it, they will likely come up.
