While copper napthenate is a great wood preservative the EPA would not take kindly to you using it as a pesticide. I am not sure you made it clear that the copper napthenate should be used only on the wood as a preservative and termite repellent.

After the Hurricane a lot of people including myself were issued burn permits for Hurricane debris. Any pressure treated wood or wood treated with copper napthenate was excluded from burning along with any non-organic material such as plastic, etc.

All pesticide treatments and especially Termite, It is not so much WHAT you use but HOW you use it that counts. I am no longer Licensed in Termite because it is a racket. High Insurance cost, Law suits, and heavy Government regulation have chased me away from that end of the business. Termite treatment can be a crap shoot at best on many structures. Here in Florida where slab homes are build, The slab is cracked before the framing is complete. The short time I was in the Termite business I had no problems because I choose to take on only jobs I knew I could handle with my limited experience.

"Buyer Beware" If you have passed a termite inspection, then you are free and clear of legal repercussion. The Termite Inspector should have Omissions and Errors Insurance to cover him.
