  • Henbit in Bermuda

Is it too early to spray MSMA in my bermuda. I have a spot that has a good bit of Henbit in it. BTW, I have become a Licensed applicator but i have a lot to learn. This is at my own home.
    Thanks for the advice
    David

it's funny, you are trying to get rid of a weed in your bermuda and up here we try to get rid of the bermuda in our fescue. i'll keep my mouth shut on what to do with the henbit but if you type it in , it will tell you when and what to use.

can't you just 'close mow" the henbit? it's what I do in the PNW- I would think of it as being soft enough to get through a reel....

I just sprayed Speedzone yesterday on a yard with Henbit. I think it needs to be colder to use MSMA. I will let you know my results with Speedzone.

Its still a little too early for MSMA it needs to get a little warmer. You do know you can spray round up on dorment grass. We have been doing this for years and get a great resultes from it. throw in a little 2-4,D and I put some 21-0-0 water soluable fertilizer and it will speed up the process. you can also spray any thing else thats coming up in the yard as well. we use this for everything killing unwanted rye grass, henbit, rescue grass, clover. It works on anything thats green and you dont want it to be.
