  • pesticide exam

    i took mine today. i got the core, turf and ornamental. been studying for this damn thing for almost 2 months now. now my business has the pesticide business license plus i already had the fertilizer business license which you have to have in va. also.

        Congrats dude! You'll find that you can make a heap of money running apps. So much so that you will probably want to sell your mowing equipment.

            thanks guys !!!!!!!!!!!! i gotta go slow on this though. i mainly got it for spot spraying and granular products for now. just having that fert license to show made me alot of extra $$$ this past season when i got into seeding and aerations. lot's of my people want me do everything so now i can. i'll still use the guy i've had for 3 years now to do stuff when i'm over my head. ( rrs - casey's old guy ) anyway thank you guys for your answers when i asked questions in the pesticide forum.

              Congrats!

              I guess all my answers for ya where correct!?

              Sounds like your going down the right path - staying small at first so you can still learn the ropes in the field. I became licensed last year and just bought a skid sprayer the other day. I reckon you'll have the same urge before long.

                  I'm doing the same thing, Stephen. I had my lawn and ornamental for a year. I have a commercial account that has been after me to add thier pond (water retention) into thier service. I also have alot of drainage ditches that hold water all summer and keeping the weeds cut back is difficult. So I also want to get right of way certifide also.

                      It's basically chemical injury. Can result when you apply a chemical to treat a pest and it has an undesired affect on the targeted or non targeted plant.

                        CONGRATS I'm taking mine Mar.20. They only offer it 4 times ayear, How was the test ? HARD??? Already have my Fert license. I was told that was all i needed. Last week I found out that was wrong and now I'm awaiting my study material.
