    hey can any of you tell me what to use to help the grass turn a green, iron or lime i can't rember

    Is it out of dormancy yet? What area are you in?

    Textbook answer is, "have you done a soil test yet?" Then you'll find out if you need to adjust your ph and what fert you should be looking for. Once again, depending on your location, fertilizing now would be a waste of fertilizer. Generally I wait until I see some greenup of the lawn by itself, then I'll add a fert w/minor package.

    Iron helps green up, lime adjusts your ph up.

      Very good. Now, what do you use if you wish to lower it? Some guys here probably know.

                potassium silicate will raise your PH and make for fungi resistant turf that shines in the sunlight.....

                      lime reduces the ph of the yard.

                      nitrogen is the thing that really puts on the green!
