I have one of the original Perma Green machines, but I rarely use it since I went to to an all liquid weed n feed operation a few years ago.
The downside of the Perma Green is the expense of it; it doesn't do hills well and its ackward to move up a hill when you get off the machine. I never found that fertilizing and doing a weed squirt at the same time to be a winning combination. Both action requires that you pay attention to detail that doesn't always work well together. The other downside is the Robin-Subaru engine doesn't self prime and its a work out just to get the POS engine to start (and this is when P-Green spent alot of time telling me how good the engine was!)
I perfer to haul around 150' of hose with a lawn gun at the end. It gets better when my wife decides to help me on the bigger jobs where i do the business end of the sprayer and her job is to figure out where i'm going and drag my hose after me. That's a winning combination!
I've got one more payment on my F350 spray truck that has 2--150 gallon spray tanks and 1--200 gallon spray tank on it. Its more handy then my Perma Green ever was.
