  • Is this a good price?

Got a quote today from a company to spray the church I cut. Turf areas are about 2 acres. Spraying a fert/pre-em/post-em mix quote was $480.

Come on all you licensed applicator boys that jump on everyone all the time for not giving enough info.

I just gave you area and product description...is that a decent price or not? 90% of it is wide open, the rest are smaller pieces around the church building itself.

i'm not set up to spray that big a area. all my pre-ems are granular and if i did that big a area, the post would be granular also. are you set up to spray that big a area?

Uh no, thats why I got a quote. Just called him to get more specifics. Spray of nitrogren, potassium, barricade, and ... oh I forget the post emergent. Something I'm not familiar with.

are you licensed? if so, do it granular. don't give stuff away that you can do yourself.

It sounds a little high. He surely isnt cutting any slack on basis of future work from you,,,,,,, neither do I sometimes.

This is an expensive app however that he is running. I would be in the ballpark. I dont think you will get a reputable applicator for much less. Id say just do it.

I don't do all liquid apps, but that price looks fair.

You don't wanna become a price shopper.....do ya?

Price shopper no...Sucker? Definately not. I've never worked with this guy before, he was referred to me by another LCO who I trust.

Hmm, I put a bid in on a hospital around here. I'm not licenced either (working on that for this year) and had a guy I know who has a rather large squirt bus. give me a price. This place has 6.3 acres of turf. His price was $945/app. I didn't think that was too bad. He does all liquid pre and post-em as well. Of course prices will be different from AR to VA
