  • Need Some Help On Fall Spraying

i'm starting next monday. that will give most of my newly seeded yards at least 6 weeks or more for the new seed to take which it has. now it is starting to get cool here in hooterville with lows pushing the freezing mark this week and highs only in the 60's. should i continue to use my triplet or would i be better off using an ester based spray. i had good results with triplet in the spring but i do have a few yards that have some yellow wood sorrel issues and triplet didn't pack the punch i needed for that plus i didn't see it on the label. looks like this yellow wood sorrel is a tough one to control without using some type of pre-em in the fall followed by spring spraying. any thoughts??????

I've had excellent results with Lesco 3 way. I haven't used the ester formulation specifically on woodsorrel but its shown good results on other broadleaf during cool/cold weather. If I recollect correctly, woodsorrel has not been a problem for me after October/November. Before that, its usually mild and I've stayed away from ester formulations.

I've used it as well. Best results in the fall, but can get rid of it before that as necessary.
