would you do that for all three apps up there in yankee land? here in hooterville i would be hesitant to use that on my first but for sure on my 2nd and 3rd. i'd have something in the late teens or early 20's for my N on the first.

Instead of using Urea, try Ammonium Sulfate (21-0-0).

1lb of actual N is 2.18lb per 1ksqft or 95 pounds of product per acre=2 bags

.75 of actual N is 71 pounds of product per acre =34.5-0-0=1.5 bags

.50 of actual N is 47.5 pounds of product per acre= 23-0-0=1 bag

.25 of actual N is 23.75 pounds of product per acre = 11.5-0-0= 1/2 bag

Steve I was just showing you how to get the right amount of N with granular urea.

As far as my applications go since I work from 500 to 2000 feet in elevation and that varies just in my service area. For instance at above 1400 feet this far North crabgrass has a hard time germinating due to low soil temps.

If most of your turf is tall fes and you are mowing and mulching leaves I would be applying less that 2 lbs of actual N for the entire year with a single application of .75 pounds one week before your big leaf drop.

i understand your crabgrass point, but not in this thread..........if i'm mulching the leaves, wouldn't i want some high N to help them decompose quickly? my yards will get that the first week of december............it will be synthetic instead of my two previous biosolid deals...keep this thing alive........... this pesticide forum needs it..........................

by the time these thumbnail size leaves decompose i'm sure the ratio will be higher plus the yards will be getting hit with a high nitro-winterizer which should speed up the process.

Than, there should not be a problem, unless, you spread sawdust.
