Depends what you are putting down. A cheap fert will have a different price than something like a fert with grub control or fungicide.

Ron Howard: Is that... vodka... and wheat grass?
Homer: It's called a "lawnmower". I invented it. Want one?

Ok, i'll try this a differant way.
If somebody is charging $4 per thousand, what is the yearly material cost per thousand average out to be.
I am assuming that if the price is $4 per thousand, 6 apps would be $24 per thousand per year is what the customer is charged.
What % of $24 is material cost?
Or what is the material cost per thousand per year.
I know the material cost will change for each app based on what is put down, that is why i want to know the yearly cost.

I could not imagine charging 4.00 a thousand not worth the time to start the truck up. our drop dead rate 10.25 per k on six apps a year we try for 14.00+ a k.Originally posted by clclawn View PostOk, i'll try this a differant way.

your cost to put it down is different in each metro area. depends on how much your stuff cost. a 50lb bag of fert around here a few months ago was @ $33. a bag 46-0-0 enough to spray out 46k at 1/2 lb of nitrogen per thousand. that same bag one year ago was 12.00. if finally dropped to 20.50 two weeks ago.but at the 33.00 per bag your cost per thousand was .45 per thousand. One job we just got uses an expensive chemical. we got 67.00 a thousand to put it out on a 30,000 sq ft property this week.
