I have some commercial properties I maintain. Is it cost effective to use pre-emergents to control weeds? I checked out the price of Ronstar ($115 per 50lb bag) and felt it was a bit too expensive. Any ideas?

The weeds are primarily in the ground cover. They are mostly broadleaf weeds.
I would be applying the pre-emergent in all the planter beds to prevent all types of weeds.
