Fire Ants in Vegetable Gardens?

I was just asked a question on how to get rid of fire ants in a vegetable garden. Is Amdro safe to use? I use this in the lawns and ornimental gardens but was not sure about vegies.

Does any one have any info on this?

I must of had a brain dump on this one. The person that asked me said there was no reference to the info. I read my container and found the info I needed. That will teach me. Thanks.
