Do you get your ferts locally or do you order somewhere. Stone.

Sorry Cole but Lesco is 10 Min from me. And Alcpi and me are 1200 miles apart. Their fertilizer is the best IMHO. But you still have to know what and when to put it down at your location.

In Fla 33-0-0 is big in sand while up north in clay soils 32-5-7 50% SCU N is a better choice.

If you go to Lesco they will do there best to kee you from you becoming a danger to yourself and the general public.

Pesticide is a generic term to cover herbicides, pesticides, rodentcides etc..
Plain fertilizer is probably all you can legal apply. Stay away from "weed n feed", insect controllers, or multi-purpose fertilizers. You can sub-contract this out or gamble(like a majority do or have) and hopefully you won't get caught. Once again I'd call my local county extention. I think this is the webpage that applys to you.

I use the Lesco 25-5-10-40% SCU N from March thru May.

                  At 1/2 rate that is!!!!!

alcpi; I don't have a Lesco dealer locally so I get Anderson's from JD. Just wondering does lesco offer ferts specifically for palms or do they give you ferts with micro nutrients?

Stone: I'm no fertilizer connoisseur so take it easy on me. Is 25-5-10-40% what you apply generally for your area or do you do a soil test prior? I've found that most of my yards need this calc .5-2-.5. I assume that's from the heavy sand content we have. This fall I applied 5-5-25 61%.
