  • Creeping Charlie Taking Over!

Does anyone know of any products to get rid of Creeping Charlie? Almost all of the lawns here have Kentucky Bluegrass, so I need something that won't damage the grass. I also need something that I can do a whole yard treatment, not just spot spray. Any suggestions?

Use a selective weed control in the spring when the grass is actively growing. You'll have to spray it once a week for 3-4 weeks. Make sure the customer is watering the lawn plenty during morning or early afternoon hours only. Creeping charlie is a tough weed to kill but this method has worked for me many times. It also is a chance to make extra money. Each weed control application is a seperate charge. Beware, if the lawn is covered with creeping charlie, the lawn will be patchy when the weed is gone. Wait 30 days after the last weed control applications, do an aeration and an overseed to thicken the lawn up. Depending on when your weed control application is finished, you may have to wait till the fall to aerate and overseed.

One more thing on the watering. You are mot supposed to water the lawn for 24 hours after the application. Thats it. Good luck.

Better buy some Confront before Jan 1st or you will have to go the Round-Up route.

Confront will not be for sale after Jan 1
