For sometime now I've struggled with the idea of renting or building a new shop. I would have prefered to have a shop closer to town, but living on 4 acres seems the logical location. So, after many bids and talking to contractors of all sorts. I've found it cheaper to build myself. Sad, though that it will cost a small fortune. With the way everyone is tight with money right now, it's someting that must take place in order to comply to State law.
Somewhat exciting to see progress. A gamble for sure. I could have bought two new spray rigs. But, as I figure out how to build concrete forms, order fill rock, compact gravel, lay down wire mesh, frame up the forms, secure the forms from any possible blow outs with support beams and rebar, lay in the rebar for new curb that will enclose the new slab. There's personal satisfaction, that even in tought times one thing that I can always count on is a supportive family, and a great hand of people to help. If ever given the opportunity to buy a camra, I'll post some pics.
