i'm still mowing the yard but lost the chemicals to Scott's. she had Scott's last season and they did ok and i did great for a while, then comes the heavy watering, then comes the ducks and geese crapping all over the backyard, then came the weeds, mostly grassy weeds near the waters edge. ( she lives next to a lake ) when the summer hit she was weed free and still has no crabgrass at this point and also the front yard is weed free. all the weeds in the back are all within about 30' from the water. i tried to explain to her a month ago about the watering issue and why the weeds were there. i guess she didn't listen. her next door neighbor whom i've had for six years now is 100% weed free. the difference is that he has about a 20' mulch barrier with trees and shrubs between his turf and the water, therefore the birds don't come on his turf and crap all this mess out in the turf, plus he doesn't over water. this woman watered so heavily that one day the water was bubbling up through the turf on the slope that leads to the water. all those spots died and became infested with all this mess. now i'm sure Scott's will come in and spray this crap and she'll feel better till the cycle starts again next season. oh well..................
