Fertilizing Price Question

I have a residential property that I cut year round and they are now asking for it to be fertilized. I do not have a measuring wheel but I did roughly walk it off. The figure I got just on the perimeter came out to be 20 k square feet. This doesn't include the deduction of house and gravel driveway. I think his house is approx. 2200 square feet with a small patio. My question is what should I charge to apply fertilizer that he will buy? Basically just a spreading fee. I am guessing 2 1/4 bags of ( 10,000 Scott brand fert.). This will give it a good application. Please give you comments. Thank you!

You should not accept the job if you do not know anything about fertilizing. What if you burn the lawn? Will you replace it?

You should not put down anymore that 1LB of N per 1000 sq ft per application. To figure this out, take the number 1 and divide it by the percentage of N in the product. For example, if you wanted to put down 1 LB of N per 1ooo sq ft and your product is 30% N you would divide 1 by .30 and that would tell you to put down 3.33 lbs of that bag per 1000 sq ft to achieve 1 LB of N per 1000. 20000 sq. ft. I would tell him it will $65.00 whether you use his stuff or yours. I would also tell him you want 4 apps or nothing.
