You can get a fert from lesco with manage in it if you want all granular fert + broadleaf killer, but it is expensive($25/bag). Your best best is to use straight fert and spot spray weeds with liquid manage, this method is a lot cheaper because the weed killer only goes where it needs to.

DO NOT buy JD products, boycot JD, they are out to put you out of biz.

Lebanon, Howard Johnson, Simplot, and many others sell granular herbicides, but do they work well is the question.

Also I saw nothing in this thread about Nutsedge, so why the Manege?

You can buy granular ferts with all types of herbicides on them.

          wth are you talking about?
How is buying what JDLandscapes offers going to put you out of business? You must have been sniffing some of that lesco fertilizer.

If you guys are putting out ferts with herbicides, hopefully you have your proper licenses.

once again you have no idea what you're talking about. JDL wants you to buy their stuff, just like any other company. Why would they want to put you out of business?

Hey JDL should send you a check for the great advertising of their postcards, to over 1600 contractors I might add, that they hand out to their loyal contractors. On the other side of that card is a place for you to put your own company stamp, logo or whatever. It's a great way to gain peoples confidence since they see a familiar name but in-turn they call you. If that card has JDL's address on it then they're trying to get you, a preffered contractor, some business w/o you having to go through the trouble of the mailing process. What a great program they have here and you brang it out!!! and we owe it all to H2B Mower, geez go figure.

For anybody that wants to know more about the Preferred Contractors program or the Partners Program check out John Deere Landscapes Partner Program Benefits or visit your local store.

                    Here are some services they offer;
                    Cash Discounts
                    John Deere Credit Benefits
                    Commercial Lead Services
                    Job Leads
                    Inventory
                    Technical Training & Support
                    Preferred Program Pricing

Well h2b mower, you came through with some great info to help us all out and perfect timing for the new forum. Even though it's way off topic, you did good. THX!!!

Over the years I bought tons of Lesco fert and was basically satisfied, taking into consideration the price I paid. With that said I never considered Lesco ferts as premium. For my own lawn, and accounts where results where a priority I bought Ferti-Lome, Rainbow, Hectors, even Scotts. Especially I found Scotts Weed and Feed for southern lawns contained 1.05% Atrazine as the herbicide and got substantially better results than with the Lesco when applied at label rate. Remember though these ferts were more than double the cost of the Lesco brand.
