    Good topic...

I don't, but it's something I should think about. Been applying pesticides for 4 years now.

        No, but I should

I've been applicating for almost 20 years, but mostly to the properties we manage. Its only been 3 years since I expanded to be a serious applicator marketing to the general masses.

I know about Glysophate resistant weeds, but there is very little that could replace it as an alternative.

Fungicides are a concern and I've only recently tried Banner Maxx as a replacement to Dacanil for use on residential lawns. Its very expensive, but it works very well.

only chemical i've used every season (4 i think ) is prodiamine and so far so good. i've changed my weed sprays and fungicides but not because of MOA, but because i'm getting more edumacated. good thread by the way.

I was using Daconil on turf diseases until it was banned on home usage, which is most of my business. I was searching for a good systemic fungicide, but I don't care for the Chipco products. I might consider changing chem families if I knew what is comparable to the effectiveness of Propiconazole (Banner Maxx or its generic).

There are alot of factors that could explain ineffectiveness other than resistence.

The biggest resistance problem I face is with the customer resisting the price of an application of XYZ,, especially if it involves a fungicide.

it's pricey and then to do it right you need repeat apps. i only sell a little because of this. most folks are used to the $59 special from the big boys. i ain't figured the daconil issue out. no lawns, but playgrounds and golf courses are ok. must be a garden issue like confront had.

Thanks for the Disarm ing tip

I believe that Daconil's ai was implicated as a possible cancer causing agent and the OMG! factor regarding kids and lawns became epidemic in fear mongering. At least that is my understanding of the flap.
