  • Here's The Deal.....yes Or No......for Pre-em Apps...

i was hoping to start pre-em apps next week but there are still yards that have snow piled up on the edges of the sidewalks and driveways plus the shady parts of the lawns are still covered. i see the big guys out there already putting their stuff down. $$$ is running out. no mulching yet cause of the snow we have had. should i be a hero or a villian????????

If the ground is not frozen, why not? The whole point is not to let the weeds get a jump start when it warms up.

Why did you come fertilize my snow?!?

Duh, you should have been out there removing snow. Now you find yourself broke!

Who cares what the big guns are doing right now. You ain't them. Hey, this is your decision, but if I were in your shoes I'd hold off for a bit. :alien::alien::alien:

if i bought the stuff to do it, it would never snow...... i'm gonna go for it monday if the soil temps rise some more. any yards that have snow piled up, i'll come back later in the week. i really don't want to take a risk on the run-off on some of these piles, plus the areas beside the driveways and sidewalks are prime targets for crabgrass.

            I Gotta Ways To Go...............

i do things by the book................the big boys put their sheot down starting in january............. i understand why though. i'm small, so i can do it right. i need about 10 more degrees as of today. if only the customers could understand they are getting taken for a ride. i do my best to educate. some get it, some don't..........OR don't want to get it cause it's Scotts or Chemlawn.

About as funny as the Chemlawn truck that slid on ice and nailed their customer's car here in Oz a couple years back while pulling up for an app of some sort or another. :alien::alien::alien:

Why don't you just go to Florida in the winter like a normal yankee or canadian?

Go get yourself a tag camper and join the army of tin can tourists.

Forget about campgrounds. After the public park closes you do your shopping in the middle of the night at the Walmart for 6 hours.

We've had a cold winter here, only two days above 50 (average is 28 days, Dec through Feb). 34 would be warm to me right now as well. Today should hit 36*, gonna go wash me truck. :alien::alien::alien:
