  • Earthworm Prevention?

My yard seems to be loaded with earthworms. Yes, I realize earthworms maybe good for the soil but there is a flip side and that is they attract moles. I have the grubs under control after I put Milky Spore out but the mole still wants his other food(earthworms). Does anybody know of a chemical I can buy to put down to get rid of the earthworms? Does anybody know of anything I can do to get rid of the earthworms?

if the price is right, i'll come down and put some restricted use stuff down.

steve-o ( go to your local garden center and get you a home owner insecticide that has them listed on the label....you might also try mole traps and deterrents)

I have mastered getting rid of the moles by using the trap. As long as there are earthworms in my yard, other moles are going to flock to my yard every couple of weeks. I have caught 13 moles with my trap in the past 2 years.

Has anybody tried Buyer Crop Science NEAMACUR? I read somewhere that said this product would get rid of earthworms.

Any-thing that kills off grubs or earthworms is also going to kill the beneficial organisms in the soil too. When we could use chemicals here, we used diazinon.

Now I'm all about a healthy landscape the natural way. ( put a shotgun down the hole)

Get you some smoke bombs. They are cheap, they seem to work, atleast in my garden they do, and I'm pretty sure that they don't harm the worms.
