i talked with this owner. he had no pesticide business license, his guy was spraying round-up on some soon to be mulch beds at a church using a back-pack sprayer that wasn't labeled, and the amigo was not certified. OUCH.......he wasn't happy at all and didn't get it....

this is a big outfit that should have known better. i posted something awhile back about it, but the fines were not on the virginia pesticide site yet. i don't turn anybody in. do i like it??? NO. it sucks when you try to do things right and everybody else from big to small gets over.....i guess everybody here in virginia has $1720.00 to get over..... i don't. i have a 4 gallon with escalade and a 3 gallon with quick-pro labeled properly heading out tomorrow with all the proper PPE along.....

That sounds cheap. NY would have added "no label carried on person", "no contract", "proper posting not displayed", "registered pesticide business sticker not displayed", "no proper record keeping"..........and all at much higher fines.

Face it folks, the states are broke and looking to raise money any way possible. Get licenced and do everything the right way or you could be adding to your state's "funds that you'll never see anything good come out of".

Ron Howard: Is that... vodka... and wheat grass?
Homer: It's called a "lawnmower". I invented it. Want one?

Whatever......those unlicensed idiots more often then not relate to added income for me. They can't ever get it right and guess who gets paid to correct their foolery?:laughing::laughing:

That's pretty ridiculous. Glad Kansas is so relaxed on pesticide laws (for now). :alien::alien::alien:

In WA State (the other Washington) we only have to have the labels in the truck if they aren't still on the jug, They also want the MSDS sheet in the truck, but since I have the applicator license and owner doing the application, I see little use in carrying the MSDS which is in my office. I can see complying with that if I sent an employee. My other apllicator operator is my wife who is also an owner of the business. As I understand it in WA, we could successfully argue against any fine because we are the business principals and not subject to the stringent PPE rules for employees. Maybe I shouldn't tempt fate?

Carrying labels on your person seems to be pretty anal!!

i agree and i wish nj were a little less stringent.

especially considering you can go to home cheapo and buy pretty close to what we use with no credentials at all.

Somewhat. Ever notice how diluted that crap is? Funny to see how idiot-proof they gotta make the stuff. :alien::alien::alien:

for small applications some of the stuff is perfectly fine.
triazicide works excellent for insect control and lasts a long time so does the malathion they sell over the counter.

like i said, for small applications like with a back pack sprayer they are fine.
i would not fill my 800 gal rig up with it because i would need too much of it and its cheaper buying the concentrate for large quantity's.

round up is another joke the active ingredient is not much less in percentages then the pro stuff.

i think it averages out to be 47% home owner vs 51% for pro stuff in the glyphosphate count.
