            best thing I could find in my books is a "Rain Tower" by rainbird. It has a dual adjustment settings of 41" or 72". It's says it covers up to 80' diameter, but doesn't give any other details such as precipitation rate, min/max pressures or flow.
            cost is around $60 retail.

            Now if you're looking to really cover some ground, you can easily make a tower and add the 65JADJ-TNT on top of it.
            @80 psi it'll shoot 130' diameter, 12.9gpm
            @50 psi it'll shoot 114' diameter, 16.5gpm
            It does have a 1in female adapter and it's made of brass.
            This impact head runs at a cool $135 retail.

            Now if you need more let's talk about the 85EHD-LA which I don't even have a price for. That bad boy shoots something like 110' radius and sucks up 128gpm's @ 100psi!!!

            and then there's the smaller ones for us more simplier people like the 35-A-TNT that runs about $50. It spurts water something like 50' @60psi with 8gpms.

            Hey if you tell us what kinda pressure and volume where talking I could help you nail down what would be best.
            Also are you adding a 9th zone or taping off an existing 9th zone? If the later I hope you have enough press/vol to work with.

              We are tapping zone 9 but the tri pod will have its own valve. So technically its a 10th zone. I subbed this out so i wont really know what i have until its complete. I have complete confidence in my sub so i expect no pressure issues. I believe the static pressure at this site is in the 60s. What it is coming out of zone 9 im not sure. Scott, are you pulling these #s out of a JD book? I thought about looking at them but havent been close to theyre store yet. Im not big on internet purchasing. Id really like to see what im getting. Cost is really not an issue on this site. My margins are looking really good on this job. My only portion is locating this tri pod.

                yes and no...
                Most of the stuff is repeated on RainBird's Home Page
                I looked up Toro, Hunter, and Irritrol(now owned by Toro) and they where dead ends.

                I've seen at parks where there'd be a round vlv box used, a guy would come by, open the box and screw in just a 4-5' pole with an impact rotor on the top. He'd then come back hours later and take it away to the dismay of all the children that has gathered around. Man do I miss those days!!! I could've kicked that guy right in the "owie spot".

                You said you're covering something like 10k sf. What shape is it? If it isn't some strange shape you should easily be able to cover it.
                I'm sure your irrigation guy has a handle on things and could possibly make you few nice towers. Hopefully he'll run at least a 1in, depending on the water source and distance. I'd also make the pipe coming up the length of the tower 1in if possible.

                Good luck and keep us posted on how it comes out.

                  I wonder if i could mount the TNT on one of the tri pods im finding? Best ive seen yet is 80' dia. 130 sounds better. The wild flowers are in a 45,000 sq ft field that i wouldnt mind soaking to.

                    you could always use an adapter. Just make sure you got the volume and pressure.

                    Best thing to do would be to call the manufacturer and ask how the impact unit connects to the tower and what size pipe does it have running up. I've never had a problem contacting Rainbird or Hunter and asking technical questions if it's their product. Can't vouche for any other company though.
