  • Where to learn the basics?

Would anybody be able to give me a run down of how the go about identifying a weed problem or insect problem? How do I learn how to identify weeds if not right off by the sight of them, but are there and weed index books and how would I find the particular one I have infesting a lawn? Other than flipping through pictures to compare.

I wish I could grasp this easily, but I am trying to find out the easiest process and how to treat. Oh and yes I have went through the basic safety training, oh know about IPM and all but the specialty section of ornamental and turf was very minimal. So I am licensed to purchase and spray commercially but I want to educate myself more before working on someones yard.

    Thanks

Cruzin, I admire your approach. Most just start out and see what happens, shooting from the hip.

There are many good suggestions above. Also, check into a class from a local college or Jr. college. Your extension office should have some printed materials that will be very helpful as well.

Good Luck and Really Cut Well said it best.
