  • Transporting Pesticide

Reading up in the Core book and it says the Department of Transportaion says you have to have documentiion when transporting pesticides for commerce, but does that include when going to residential accounts etc. if so will i have to have the recipt for the pesticide on board?

No, you don't need to record when you are driving. In Iowa you must keep a pesticide application record for three years listing:

    1) Applicators name address phone
    2) Customers name address phone
    3) Date treated/time
    4) Area Treated
    5) Size of area treated
    6) Temp. Humidity Wind Speed
    7) Product used (Formulation)
    8) Amount of product applied
    9) How Product was mixed

This benefits you because if you get sued, you have a record of the above to defend yourself.

          He is asking regarding transportation

You need a manifest. Listing of the hazardous materials you are carrying. This will include gas. Aprox amount of galons you started with that day.

If I were you. I would check your local DOT regs. and find out. Why not join a local or state Landscaping type association. They know what you need and don't need and they are a wealth of information.
