Hello Keith,
Welcome and ...
enter search on Google ... cooperative extension service Iowa, they hold and conduct the classes, have study materials, administer the test. I think it runs about 6 weeks or so, one evening a week, then sit down for test ... the cost is very modest. Best way to get handle on test is to actually take it.

Do you guys think Obama is going to kiss us after he is done with us or is he going to put on his belt and head out the door?

Re: commercial applicaters test
Mr. Keith,
I am from Iowa and have taken the Core Manual Test as well as the 3T Turf Test. The Core manual test consists of about 50 questions covering the information in the 200+ page core manual. The 3T turf test is about 30 questions long and is over information covered in a 25 page manual specific to turf. The core manual is a general test which all chemical applicators must take regardless of what their license is for. It covers farm applications as well as aeral applications. Both books can be obtained through your local county extension office. Tests are offered once a month. Get the list of dates and locations from your local extension office. You need a 80% to pass. Study nozzel types, application conversion tables, wind speed at which to apply chemicals, drift, what to do when spraying near bees. Also study, plythum blight, rust, and other fungus's, molds, insect life cycles, soil types, leaching, ect. Good luck.“veni, vidi, vici.â€
