  • Have a new lawn with random weeds??

I know that this is the time of year to put down your Pre-Emergents. But what do you do in the case of random weeds already being in the lawn? I know it needs the Pre-Emerg to control the ones yet to come. But how do I get the weeds and get the Pre-Emerg down at the same time? Any specific Lesco product that will cover that issue?

    1. identify weeds
    2. are you legal to spray?

Ron Howard: Is that... vodka... and wheat grass?
Homer: It's called a "lawnmower". I invented it. Want one?

If you are seeing weeds, then you are past the Pre-emergent stage. You must use a selective post emergent herbicide to control the weeds. The selective herbicide you use should be labeled for the type of weed you hope to rid.

No Im not legal to spray. I think Im seeing Pricley Lettus and Spiny Sow Thistle.
So if Im seeing weeds there is no use for Pre-Emergent now. What about anything up and coming?

Pre-m is not going to stop those 2 weeds you listed. It is specific to crabgrass and other annual grassy weeds.

So you are saying that those weeds would have come up anyway.
