Drop the 54" deck buy the tank and mounting brackets from lesco, put the truckster on the FRONT and add a 15 gal herbicide tank over the top of the engine with a hand wand.

For spraying to prevent overlap & conserve on chemical I mounted one of these on my sprayer!

I have a 15' boom & 25 gal tank mounted on the 3-point on the 720 Allis compact tractor. Dual foam tanks and switches. With the two switches you can have both sides going or just one side. NO problem knowing where you've sprayed or haven't sprayed! I use the same foaming agent we use on the farm. If it is mixed right the foams blotches will last for hrs. You can use dishwashing soap also but it doesn't last as long.

I have done some thinking about this suggestion. As you know I am not happy with the Lesco 54" two some performance. The cut is no where near the Walker. However the present Ric-O-Green is a Walker 20 hp and is still in good shape. I like the Walker Ric-O-Green because it can be operated one handed, leaving the other hand free to run the spray and spread controls. The Lesco's faster ground speed I see as a disadvantage because of coverage rates.

Now what might blow your mind is. I am looking at 36" to 44" hydro walk behinds to cut a 10 Acre Condo Complex. Needless to say this complex has a lot of shrub beds and smaller cut up turf areas. I just sold off most of my residential lawn mowing accounts only to be hit with several commercial account desiring service. I am bidding these high with the theory, Make it worth my crews time. The interesting thing about this is the more I charge the more business I am getting. All of this when I am trying to downsize toward retirement.

The ability to accurately measure ground speed is where the 12.5 hp 44" belt stone - a - green ride on spreader sprayer really shines. With the older ratio transmission that is in the machine you get 3 mph in 3rd and 4.5mph in 4th with the 13.5" drive tires.

Plus the ability to steer with one hand while spraying non or selective herbicide while on the fly makes short work of large areas.

I have done miles of fence lines effortlessly by clamping the wand to the JRCO bar so it sprays a foot or so pattern directly at the bottom of the fence.

This way I can enjoy a drink and a smoke with my free hand.
