Question about a license

I have a new client that asked me to fertilize her lawn. I mainly do lawn maintenance (mowing, trimming, etc.) and have never fertilized any clients lawns. If I did decide do fertilize her lawn for her and used my drop spreader to spread Scotts or something similar would I need to get a applicators license? I live in kansas and i'm not sure about this one any help would be great!!!

Contact your University Extention Office and ask the question and they can point you in the right direction. Fertilizer is in the gray area of most states, but if it's a "weed and feed" it's yes. A homemowner can do whatever they want, but in most all states, if you are paid to do it, get licensed.
