I went to my Bark place today and seen some "Webfoot" brand ferts. I bought the stuff called "Turf Treet" and something called "Plant Food" The plant food said that it's for turf grass. The numbers are 16-16-16. I heard before that you want to keep those numbers close to each other. Is that true? Also are these ferts. any good? Thank You,
    Jason Petris

I think I remember reading that 3-1-2 is a good ratio(balance) of N-P-K. I know we used to use an 18-5-9 which is close to that. A soil test is the best way to decide, with types of grass and level of maintenance desired being considered also.

If you want an actual real educated opinion on this product I am afraid you are going to have to a little actual work and at least post a link to a pdf file or html file of the specific label of the product in question.

Behind Door # 1 we have 16-16-16 a blend made up of only 4 elements of Fertilizer. The Devrived from is the real cheap part of the blend. Ammonium Phosphates can be either Monoammonium(MAP) or Dimmonium(DAP) Phosphate. DAP has resduals that are not favorable. The Potassium Chloride is the cheapest form of Potash and as a bi product of that form of potash is Chloride. Chloride is a Salt. Ammonium Sulfate is the most expensive product in the bag and will give a quick kick that should last a short time depending on your soil type. Urea is in fact being over producted by the Russians and flooded on to the worlds market. This 50# bag should sell for tops of $ 4.98 However $ 3.75 is more likely the correct price.

Now Behind Door # 2 is a second blend of 15-5-10 Which is once again not great but I feel is the better of the two. Possibly Someone would like to take a shot and explain why this blend is slightly better.

Yes That is about all we can say about this blend with the information given. You would think Any Fish could have answered that Question. Any time you can apply a slow release it is Better.

The tripple 16 would be a decent starter fertilizer if nothing else was available.

I have used a tripple 14 on lawns for people who want fertilization, but not a huge flush of nitrogen. I tried to explain the basics of slow release, but they wouldn't bite. Some people know about enough to be difficult. At any rate, the price is about the best part of a fertilizer like that.
Jeeps are like women.....much more fun with their TOPS OFF!
