  • Granular Application Program

I have been mostly concentrating on mowing accounts, but have picked up like 3 to 5 of my customers for lawn apps as well. Out of convience I have been using John Deere Landscapes for my supplier. I started out as early as 3/12/04 with the first app of 20/2/4 with propendi, what should I follow up with being that 1 account is now almost 3 months out and others 2 to 1.5 months since last app.

I guess I worry about the heat we have been having here in Raleigh, NC and the minute amount of rain fall. All these yards get minimal supplemental irrigation if any other then natural rainfall. For example the first yard I did on 3/12/04 was looking pretty nice for about a month or 2 months out but after slow to no rains and no irrigation it has begun to brown out or have a gray haze to it. What could I do or suggest to my customers.

Is it time for lime and/or another application of something. Oh I have spot weed applied Trimec on these yards as well. Oh and for all that are wondering I am licensed to apply.

Oh and another thing am I doing something wrong if I just dump the fert bag in the spreader and apply, I measured the turf area to figure out how much bags of fert I would need, and I set the spreader to the setting listed on fert bag.
    Thanks

Are you working with cool or warm season turf?

What climate zone are you in?

Do you have the monthly average for temp and rainfall for a calender year period in your area?

Maybe it's best to change the turf over to Bermuda and over seed with rye for four season color.

        No water=no fescue.
