  • Broadcast Application

Just kind of curious what other applicators do. I include broadleaf weed control in my fertilizer program which is typical in my area. Now if you are signing a new customer and their yard is a total mess of weeds and you have to broadcast spray the entire yard do you charge extra? Or is it included regardless if it is just spot spraying or tank spraying?

Also, do you ever do just weed spraying instead of fert program and how do you charge for that? Do you have any sort of guarantee of weed control for a one time broadcast spray? Or is it just whatever it kills it kills and you can pay for a follow up visit if you'd like.

    Thanks

Charge for the necessary application to get the lawn back in order. Some companies call this an "Initial Treatment". After you have the lawn into order then weed control is or should be part of your service.

Yes it's called lawn renovation. Lawn renovation tools are soil tests, core aerators, power rakes, and slit seeders.

As far as broadcasting liquid products I use the following time saving tool.

I can do 3x as much area in the same time as some dumb hose dragging monkey without breaking a sweat.

Hey, is that a Toro 44"? I have a Toro 44" that is rusty and rattles alot but has a good frame on it. Looks like you just took the deck off and mounted a spray tank. Does it have a hand wand too or just the boom in front?
