  • Synthetic stucco and cleaning

I have a to quote a condo complex, the stucco had ivy vines growing on it that have been removed. The "feet" of the vines are still stuck to the building and are needing to be removed with the cleaning. I have heat and pressure that is adjustable as I know the high pressure can damage the Styrofoam base, my question is should a chemical injection or light brush agitation be used to loosen the remaining vine?

Unfortunately, I've never heard of, or discovered myself, any way to completely remove the feet from vines successfully without the potential for damaging the exterior.
I usually just tell customers up front that I will do my best, but unless you paint over them, there will still be some feet left behind.
I also stress the importance of not allowing the vines to get started on the side of the structure. With vines, prevention is the best solution.
