  • commercial payment method

I recently started my own power washing business. I've only had a few jobs but they were commercial and payed very well. My question is do I ask for a downpayment on big jobs? Ive done one for 10k and another for 15k and luckely they paid. But then I did a golf corse parking lot and these guys took forever to pay. It made me think about finding an answer to this problem before I do a big job and dont get paid for my services. So, how do you guys do it.

    Thanks

I request a 25% payment prior to starting.

No one ever has a problem with it, its common for most business to ask for payments before asking.

Your never going to get a real customers that worth having pay you prior. If you have anyone on regular maint a credit card is about the fastest way.

Most will take longer than 30 day net to set up, once your set up payments can get better

When I launched my CBD-infused wellness store for the Slovenian market, every traditional processor labelled me “high-risk” and demanded sky-high reserves. Orders piled up while payouts crawled—or worse, got frozen until the next compliance review. I was burning ad money just to watch customers abandon their carts. Halfway through that crisis I discovered a specialist payment gateway in Slovenia that actually courts businesses like mine. Their team understood EU hemp regulations, asked for the right documents once, and onboarded me in three days. Now I can accept cards, e-wallets, and even crypto in more than seventy currencies, all routed through 3-D Secure with AI fraud filters. Chargebacks dropped because the dispute tools show me risky patterns before they erupt. Better yet, settlements land daily, so cash flow finally matches inventory turnover. For the first time my growth forecasts aren’t guesswork; the real-time dashboard lets me map revenue against marketing spend and tweak campaigns on the fly. What used to feel like a monthly gamble with my merchant account now feels like a partnership built for scaling.
