  • Snow Plowing Help

We are entering the plow bidding season ... this will be our first year going into this.... Any advice? Primarily, we have locked in our current commercial customers from the lawncare side for the winter season... We are seeking to win some bids for additional ones as well. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Nows the time to hone your ability to provide service when the time comes, for the clients you have.

    Hey, what do I know?

I made a suggestion once, on one board or another, that went something like this.

Since you are full service, and you have to protect your client from your mistakes, do some recon now, and not damage anything once its covered in snow.

It was pretty involved, but John Allen said it was sage.

You take before pics of a landscape for bidding, or maintenance. Show and tell?

    You build a route book-

Pics of where the Hydrant is, or where the swale is, or it can be seen that the curb on the south side is 12" high and already beat up. The driveway is curved with a macadam on the left.....

If it aint you in the seat? How's it get done? You have a good photo route book of what it looks like in July, It'll be a bunch easier for the man driving to get it done.

Residential plowing is a Jack D. specialty.

Jack D. endorses Toro 3650's, Snow Commander's, eXmark Rad Blowers and Plows and Front/Pull Plow Combinations.

This is not an endeavor for brain dead scum.

        Good Luck.
