Ahhh....so a 2-stage would be no good for residential driveways.....compared to a single stage.

I use 32" wide 2 stage simplicitys.. Since i mostly do snow removal after snowfalls, if there is 18" of snow in NJ, i need the machine to take 18", not have to wait for a 5hp or 8hp or whatever to go through all that.
How are you guys thinking youll do driveways fast witha 6hp or whatever? I would either use a walk behind good snow blower or a lawn tractor next with say a 42-50" 2 stage snowthrower for larger areas and anything larger a truck would probably work best.\
I dont pull anything in the snow, my 2x4 would probably do ok with good weight on the rear tires from the tongue of the trailer but my 91 f150 goes through snow great, almost 2 foot in areas, a 4x4 with good tires would have made it easier, but long as you have weight on the rear wheels and good tires.. i think mine are 31x10.5x15 Bridgestone duelers , nothing too rugged/mud but a semi knobby tire handled snow like ice picks.
