Jack D. was impressed w/your remote chute rotation fab and will be adding a slightly improved version to his blower.

    Well Done.

Yes, actually admitting defeat is a rare for Jack D.

No doubt your machine was a cleaner looking fabrication.

That's mighty big of you Jack.

Both versions have inspired me to modify a new Ariens I just purchased. I have a small battery and window motors. Thanks for the dueling mod, guys.

The chute controls on the 926 Airens are garbage compared to the rest of the machine. I think it is worth a mod.

Please note that Jack D is simply recognizing that Mr.ba1m2x2's inferior unit had one ingenious feature.

That one ingenious feature was that he built one better than you.

I realize it is not normal for Jack to admit defeat as I have been following these threads fairly close now since June. And to be honest...I was a little reluctant to let my opinion be known in his midst for fear of the guaranteed chastisement. However seeing what you had come up with...and then knowing that what you were going for was what I actually had....I couldn't resist. Because of your big step today I again offer any assistance you may need. so Jack D. if you are seriously interested in a parts list for an upgrade such that I have. Let me know...I would be more than happy to provide it as well as the wiring for such a device. Its the least I can do as according to RIC I may be your first.....awwwww shucks........that and well wiring DPDT switches can prove to be difficult to the novice.

Now this is the part where you surprise everyone again by just saying, "Thanks.....Jack D. graciously accepts the offer from Mr. Ba1m2x2 and would be delighted to have the opportunity to improve in any way Jack D. can."

Providing a parts list would be beneficial. Regardless, Jack D.'s remote chute controller will be more advanced and move faster.

Stay tuned for the list of parts.

Let me remind Mr Jack D. that implying his unit will be superior to mine due to faster chute rotation is simply moot. Chute rotation speed is controled by the size of the pulley attached to the worm gear. Speed rotation has more to do with personal preferance than it does with level of advancement.

Here's an idea.....the CFACRC is a better mousetrap....lets not turn it to a dead horse.....Jack D. I challenge you to come up with an easier way to adjust the height of the skids on the bottom of the blower, so in the field it can be done quickly to accomidate different countours or imperfections a particuler stone walkway may have as opposed to a newly paved drive.

                            Spring loaded skids w/urethane edge.

Jack D. will elaborate at his earliest conveniece.
